Sometimes I just want to put on a green apron and pretend I’m a barista. This is my current favorite blended drink. It’s cold, caffeinated, and feels a little indulgent.
Frozen bananas make such a good base here. They add a thick, creamy texture and keep everything cold without watering it down. And the flavors work really well together.
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 tablespoons of espresso (I used espresso concentrate, because I’m not an actual barista…)
- A small handful of mini (or chopped) semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 15g)
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1-3 teaspoons of maple syrup (adjust to preference; honey or sugar work too)
- 1 tbsp of peanut powder (optional, but adds depth and richness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but delicious)
- A handful of ice (optional)

Instructions:
- Add everything to a blender.
- Blend until smooth, thick, and milkshake-like. (If your blender struggles, try adding a little more milk or blending in stages)
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour into a glass and pretend you paid $8 for it.
